Kyle Shanahan interviewing for Ravens offensive coordinator position

It has been reported that the Baltimore Ravens have interviewed Kyke Shanahan for their vacant offensive coordinator position.

This will be his second interview. His first interview was with the Miami Dolphins for their offensive coordinator position. Instead, Philadelphia Eagles quarterbacks coach Bill Lazor was hired.

Kyle Shanahan was the offensive coordinator and he was working with his father Mike Shanahan with the Washington Redskins before his father was dismissed this month after a losing season.

He has had a rewarding career until 2013. In 2006, at age 27, he was the wide receivers coach for the Houston Texans. He was the youngest position coach in the NFL. In 2008, he was promoted to offensive coordinator and became the youngest coordinator in the NFL. He was offensive coordinator for two years when the Texans ranked in the top five in total and passing yards. In 2009, the Texans became the NFL’s top passing team.

His problems were in 2013. Washington Redskins finished the season 3-13. First, his father was fired, then a few hours later Kyle was fired. There were rumors floating around about his shaky relationship with quarterback Robert Griffin III.

It appears that he had a bad relationship with the quarterback. This bad relationship must have caused the team to lose so badly. This 34-year-old man has a winning record. So what he is young? Maybe that is what the NFL needs.
