Looking for new OC

Ravens Harbaugh

Head Coach John Harbaugh will have to start searching a little harder for a new offensive coordinator. Former Offensive Coordinator Jim Caldwell is now the new Head Coach for the Detroit Lions. This will be the 3rd offensive coordinator for the Ravens in 13 months.

Ravens coach John Harbaugh released a statement updating the offensive coordinator search, saying, “We will be interviewing candidates inside and outside the building. We’re confident that whether we select someone currently on our staff or from another team, we will have a coach that best fits what we want to be, where we want to go and understands what Ravens football is all about. “I have a profile in mind and we are excited about those who have shown interest in the job.”

Some rumored candidates includes internal Wide Receivers Coach Jim Hostler, Cleveland Browns Offensive Coordinator Norv Turner, former Texans Head Coach Gary Kubiak and Minnesota Vikings Head Coach Brad Childress.

In the past, Harbaugh has promoted from within. Thus far, he has promoted three defensive coordinators, Greg Mattison, Chuck Pagano and Dean Pees. Caldwell was also an internal promotion from quarterbacks coach.

This was the first time in six years that the Ravens did not make the play-offs. The first time not making the play-offs under Head Coach John Harbaugh. Harbaugh considers the franchise and team being attractive to many players and coaches alike for that reason. “We will have a coaching staff that will get the most out of our players.”

Make a wise choice Mr. Harbaugh. Your fans are depending on it.

IN HAR’ WE TRUST!!!!
