Ravens kicker Justin tucker has been named 1st team All-Pro selection. He was the only Raven to earn All-Pro honors from the Associated Press panel of 50 voters.
Tucker had a phenomenal season making 38 out of 41 field goal attempts. He set the Ravens single season record with 140 points and 38 field goals. He had six field goals of at least 50 yards. Tucker kicked a 61 yard field goal in Week 15, which gave the Ravens a victory against the Detroit Lions with a score of 18-16. He also held a streak of 33 straight field goals.
“As important as these individual accolades are, the team prizes are, of course, the greatest ones, said Tucker after being named team MVP. Also, I wouldn’t be able to do half as good of a job as I have been able to out on the field without guys like Morgan [Cox, long snapper], Sam [Kock, punter/hold], Jerry [Rosburg, assistant head coach/special teams coordinator], Randy [Brown, kicking consultant] and ‘Harbs’ [John Harbaugh] for that matter.
“Everybody from the top down, makes this thing click on all cylinders.”
Way to go Tuck!
