After the embarrassing loss to the New England Patriots this past Sunday, the Ravens know they need to do one this Sunday – win and pray for a loss. They have to win against the Bengals and they need either Miami (8-7) or San Diego (8-7) to lose.
The Miami Dolphins play the New York Jets and the San Diego Chargers play the Kansas City Chiefs.
The team seemed so out-of-sync when playing against New England. There were multiple penalties, Justin Tucker missed his field goal attempt, turnovers, dropped passes; you name it, it happened. This was their worse loss since November 9, 1997, where the Steelers won 37-0 at Three Rivers Stadium. This was the worst loss at home in Ravens history.
The Ravens are 2-5 on the road this season. Not a good record. This is how Baltimore can clinch the playoffs:
If Baltimore wins and San Diego loses or ties,
If Baltimore wins and Miami loses or ties,
If Baltimore ties and Miami loses and San Diego loses or ties,
If Miami loses and San Diego loses and Pittsburgh loses or ties.
Don’t count out the Steelers. If the Ravens, Dolphins and Chargers lose and the Steelers win, the Steelers would be AFC’s No. 6 seed, just that easy.
Here are some things to remember:
There are four teams battling for this final spot – the Steelers, Ravens, Dolphins and Chargers.
The Cincinnati Bengals (10-5) are undefeated at home this season.
The Ravens won against the Bengals during Week 10 with an overtime victory.
Lets hope for a repeat of Week 10.
