Tight end Dennis Pitta – hip
He has continued to make progress this week and could possibly return on Sunday to play against the Minnesota Vikings. “I’ve upped my workload a little bit this week just to kind of test it and see where it’s at,” said Pitta. He is not currently on the 53-man roster so he is not required to be listed on the injury report.
The weather forecast calls for a wintry mix snow and sleet on Sunday which could result in slick conditions at M&T Bank Stadium. “The footing on our field is pretty good. If we get ice or something like that, we will have to see,” said Harbaugh.
Defensive end Chris Canty – shoulder – QUESTIONABLE
Canty was able to play in Week 13 against the Steelers. Canty is listed on the injury report as questionable for the game.
Defensive linebacker Elvis Dumervil – ankle – DOUBTFUL
Dumervil did not practice at all this week due to his injury suffered during the Steelers game on Thanksgiving.
“Earlier in the week we felt he was going to make it. It’s not a guy that has to practice to play, so if he goes out there and feels like he can go, he will, if he doesn’t he won’t,” said Harbaugh.
Cornerback Jimmy Smith – concussion – PROBABLE
Smith sustained this concussion on that big hit during the Thanksgiving night Steelers game against running back Le’Veon Bell. Bell also suffered a concussion.
Cornerback Lardarius Webb – abdomen – QUESTIONABLE
Wide receiver Brandon Stokley – knee -QUESTIONABLE
Stokley injured his knee when he played against the Steelers and he was forced out of the game. He came back for one play and realized that he could not continue. He has only played in five games this season due to a thigh injury.
Safety Brynden Trawick – ankle – OUT
Trawick has been ruled out for the second straight week.
Cornerback Asa Jackson – thigh – QUESTIONABLE
For the Minnesota Vikings, their biggest threat is on the injury list as questionable due to a groin injury. Peterson did not practice Wednesday and Thursday and had limited practice Friday.
Running back Adrian Peterson – groin
