As of today, the statuses of Ravens nose tackle Haloti Ngata and starting tight end Dennis Pitta remains undetermined for this Sunday’s game against the New York Jets. Pitta is very unlikely to play. He has been doing individual drills the past three days and remains on the injured reserve-designated to return list. He acknowledges the need for caution while working his way back to his team.
Ravens coach John Harbaugh is not making any decisions on either player until game time. In reference to Pitta, Harbaugh states “I don’t want to say ‘no’ and then he plays. I don’t want to say ‘yes’ and then he doesn’t play and you guys think I’m misleading you somewhere. There’s always a possibility of that.”
Meanwhile, Ngata practiced on a limited basis with a sprained left knee. He is listed as questionable on the injury report, as are middle linebacker Daryl Smith with a hamstring injury and corner back Lardarius Webb with an abdominal injury.
Wide receivers Marlon Brown with a knee injury and Brandon Stokley with a groin injury are probable.
